Hi! We're Carrie and Madalyn — a mother and daughter who are so excited to welcome your family to Play Street Museum Leawood.
Long before we ever dreamed of owning a Play Street Museum, we were guests ourselves. From the moment we walked through the doors of our very first Play Street Museum, we knew it was something special. Watching our children and grandchildren light up through imaginative play, while we were actually able to slow down and enjoy being together, made us realize this was exactly the kind of place we wanted in our own community. Today, thanks to the support of our husbands, children, and extended family, that dream has become a reality — and a true family business.
Carrie is a proud grandma of five amazing grandchildren and spent more than 25 years as an elementary school librarian, where she saw firsthand the incredible impact of imaginative play, creativity, and hands-on learning have on young children.
Madalyn is a mom to an energetic four-year-old daughter who inspired this journey from the very beginning. Like so many parents, she wanted a place where families could slow down, connect, and enjoy quality time together while their little ones learned through play.
Our family has poured our hearts into creating a place where children can imagine, explore, and learn through play while families laugh, connect, celebrate, and make memories together.
For more than ten years, Play Street Museum has been on a mission to inspire the world through play. What began in the Dallas area has grown into locally owned museums across the country, each dedicated to providing high-quality play and educational experiences for young children and their families. We're proud to bring that mission to Leawood and serve our community with the heart of a small family business.
Whether you're visiting from out of town or live just down the street, we hope you'll make lasting memories during playtime, birthday parties, crafts, special events, and all the little moments in between.

Initially created and launched near the Dallas area, our passion for children has grown and brought us to your backyard.
